No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz will battle No. 2 pick Lonzo Ball in what should be an entertaining contest between two young teams. While all eyes will be on Fultz and Ball if they match up against each other, the real rookie sensation could be Ben Simmons. Look out for the crafty Australian this season.
Warriors at Thunder, Nov. 22
The competitiveness between Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant created some fireworks last season, and this game will have even more intrigue this time around with Paul George and Carmelo Anthony joining forces with Westbrook in OKC. The Warriors are still the clear favorite in the West, but could the Thunder be one of the teams to close the gap?
Cavs at Warriors, Dec. 25
Last year's Christmas classic ended with a 109-108 Cavs victory after Irving drained a fadeaway jumper with 3.4 seconds left on the clock. Cleveland's roster looks quite different now, so it will be interesting to see how LeBron James and the rest of the Cavs compete against the best team in the NBA. Don't think the Warriors have forgotten about the 2016 loss.
Rockets at Clippers, Jan. 15
Paul makes his first trip back to Los Angeles as a member of the Rockets, a team many have pegged as the second-best in the West behind Golden State. Will the fans give Paul a standing ovation? Will there be a few boos mixed in? How will Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan handle being on the opposite side of Paul? We'll have to wait until the calendar flips to find out.
Celtics at Jazz, March 28
It seems like it was years ago Gordon Hayward signed with the Celtics, but that was a tough pill to swallow for Jazz fans. Hayward played the first seven season of his career in Utah and earned his first All-Star nod last season. Those same questions facing Paul will be asked about Hayward's return. We at least know he won't be getting any easy buckets with Rudy Gobert protecting the rim.
